Are you Reluctant before God???

          You know how when an adult says "I was reluctant to let you(fill in the space)".
                             

Reluctant-feeling or showing aversion, hesitation, or unwillingness<reluctant to get involved>; also : having or assuming a specified role unwillingly 
                                       


At some point of our lives, we are Reluctant towards God. You may even be reluctant now. God doesn't want you to be reluctant towards him! God wants you to be willing towards him. He wants you to give everything to him. 


You may say, "But I don't wanna give that up?" to God, but God wants you to give that certain thing up. 


It is sometimes hard to give up things for God. Like for me, it is hard for me to get up early in the morning and have my quiet time with God.
But, did you know once you sacrifice a little sleep to have your quiet time in the morning that God will bless you for it?

In your relationship with God don't be reluctant with him. Be willing to give your heart and your everything to him! 

 It may seem hard to be willing to God at first in the beginning, but, just remember God will bless you for whatever you sacrifice to him. 

Once you sacrifice that one thing that God wanted you to sacrifice, you may wind up finding out that you didn't need that ungodly thing in your life anyway. 

Once I stopped being reluctant to God, my relationship with him grew much deeper and better. I turned very willing to God. 


So I just wanna leave you with a good scripture to look upon
Exodus 35:22 They came, both men and women, all the willing spirits among them, offering brooches, earrings, rings, necklaces--anything made of gold--offering up their gold jewelry to GOD. 


 

Having a Relationship with God

Do you have a Relationship with God ?

Do you read your word?

Do you understand the Word?

Do you praise and worship God?

My answer to all of these questions is YES! I know God very well. He knows me very well. He is THE KING OF KINGS. We are his PRINCESSES AND PRINCES. If you want your life to get better like mine, I have THE answer for you. Get into a relationship with God. My proof is everything that God has and is doing for me. He's made everything sooooo much better for me. He can for you too. BUT it's not going to EASY!!! Other people would sugar-coat things, but I am gonna tell you how it is.

 When I first got saved, everything started getting worst before it could get better. I mean seriously, I almost gave up about 5 times. But, my friends told me not to give up. I didn't give up no matter what was thrown at me. I had a bunch of drama going on. Through it all, God was and is there with me helping me through my dark valley. Now, everything is MUCH better in my life and I am in a relationship with God. I got baptized for the first time ever in March, it was the BEST thing I've ever done. I even remember the song that was playing when I got baptized. The song was called "Higher" . My church's worship band was playing it. It was sooooo powerful. Each time I hear that song, I get all happy. 

As for God's word. I read the bible. I don't read it just to read it, I read it to imply it to my life. I also understand it very well. When I don't understand it, I ask someone about it. When I go to church, I take notes and highlight the verses in my bible. Then, I go back and read them. 

At night, and anytime of the day, I am always praying to God about everything. I pray for other people before I pray for myself. 

I hope each and every one of y'all get into a relationship with God. You won't regret it. And once you do, don't back down or give up!!!! Because a miracle is coming your way!!!!

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well" (Psalm 139:7-14).

Insequrities

                                                                "You're so ugly"
                                                           "You're worth nothing"
                                                                      "You're fat"
                                                        "You're skinny as a stick"
                                                  "Nobody will ever love you!!!!"


Has anyone ever said any of those mean things to you??? All of them except for the 4th one ,have been said to me.

It's a problem we all face at one point in life,INSEQURITES.

People are always going to say mean untrue things to you. I have had a bunch of mean things said to me ever since I was little!!! God has made me realize that I am BEAUTIFUL in HIS eyes!!!! And YOU  are too!!!! EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL IN GOD'S EYES!!!! So don't let NO ONE tell you less!!!!!

Girls, and ladies, if a guy tells you you aren't pretty enough or you're too fat or skinny, DON'T BELIEVE THEM!!!!!! Because It's NOT TRUE!!!!

or if they say any of this "You're cute" You're hot", "Your pretty","You're sexy".

"You're cute" , or "You're pretty" it means a guy just likes you for your cuteness or your looks. If a guy says"You're Hot" or "You're Sexy" it means a guy just likes you for you're body!!!! When a guy says "You're BEAUTIFUL!" , it means a guy truly likes you for you!!!!!

All throughout the bible it shows us how beautiful we really are!!! It states in various places through the Bible!!!!!

My favorite verses that show that are:

1 Samuel 16:7 - "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (NIV)


James 1:23 - "Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face


Colossians 3:17 - "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (NIV)


Proverbs 31:30 - "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting: but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."(NIV)

Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

Proverbs 30:5

"Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

2 Corinthians 7:1

Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

Just remember that God will always LOVE you the way that you are!!! If you have to, write "God loves me for me!!!" on your mirror!!!

Ways to cope with your past

Have you ever had to give up a boy, type of music,book, poster,etc. that God has told you to give up?

I had to.
I have given up a BUNCH of things that God told me to get rid of.
Let me tell you, it wasn't easy for me at all to do that!!!!
It took time and dedication.

Some things that we see as "good worldy"  things aren't actually good for us at all!!! For example, I used to be OBSESSED with a bunch of worldy things, (my phone, my laptop, etc.) .After I got saved, I started texting less and spending less time on my laptop. When I got saved, I got rid of : Some depressing song lyrics that I wrote, a Black Veil Brides poster, depressing poems, 2 pairs of REALLY SHORT booty shorts,some emo pictures. I also gave up all secular music. Well, I still listen to some secular music but not as much of it. 

I found some great new music that has the same sound as the metal and hard rock bands that I used to listen to, but some people told me about Christian Metal,Christian Screamo, etc.

It was hard to give up this one boy that I liked ALOT in the 9th grade. But,when God told me he is my everything, I gave up the boy,and I am sooooo much more happier now!!!! God is my everything!!!!!!  

There's this thing at my church called "the Fail Pale" and what we do is put items of our past in there. They are our sacrifices to God. The stuff I mentioned in the beginning is what I sacrificed to God. Now that those items are gone, I am sooooooooooo much happier now and you could be closer to God if you give up that kind of stuff for God!!!!

We should want more of God !!! We should give up things if it doesn't glorify God!!! I mean you can ALWAYS find Christian rap,metal,hard rock,rock,pop and hip pop and any other genre of music. I  did!!! Now, I write Christian Rock songs and they glorify God ALOT!!!!

Give it up, if it doesn't glorify God !!!

                                          "I can't give it up!!!"
                                          "I just have to have it"
                                          "Why would I give this up?"
                                         "It's just Dark music, why do I have to give it up?"
                                        " If God told me to give this up, then why do I have to give this up too??"

Have you ever asked or said any of that? I have, but God helped me through that!!!

       I have struggled with this issue recently. It was when I was sitting on my bed going through my old song lyrics and listening to Evanescence. I used to write songs and poems about dark and depressing things. God told me a week after I got saved "Hope, you need to get rid of those past items!!!". I had did exactly what he told me to. I started going through my stuff and I had realized that I had more that I needed to give up. God has helped me rewrite 3 of those songs and they still have the same music to them:)  When I got saved, God had told me to give up Secular music,my old song lyrics and poems, my booty shorts, a Black Veil Brides Poster, some friends and a guy that I used to really really like!!! It was hard for me to give up that stuff!!! Later on, God made me realize that I don't need that stuff. Now, I write Christian rock songs and poems about God, and I am very modest!!! My past is my Trophy, and it's now on my trophy case!!! God makes us realize that our past and regrets, can now be known as trophys because we have given them up!!! God wants us to remove anything that's holding us back from glorifying him!!! It may be hard to do this, but God WILL help us along the way!!!

There was this boy that I used to like alot!!! I had met him in the 9th grade,and liked him for 2 years. I had given my evreything to that one boy. And guess What? I got really hurt emotionally by that one boy too!!! When I got saved, God told me "Hope, you can't be liking that boy anymore! He has made you cry and hurt soooo much! I want you to stop hanging out with him all together! Give him up!!!" I was confussed and mad at God for telling me that! When, I actually listened to him, he had told me"Now things are going to be much better without him! I want you to listen to me,and become closer to me. Along the way, I will bring you someone I want to be with you! Someone that has found you through me!!! I am your father, and I just want you to know that I love you very much!!!" Now that I had given up liking that boy, I am soooo much happier and closer to God. Giving up that boy is another one of my trophys!!!!

It's stuff like bad music, boys, friends, etc, that keep us from getting closer to God!!! If you just give them up for God, you would be glad that you did. Those sacrifices you give to God will be your trophys!!!
